Why would the Chicago Bears select John David Booty USC Trojans QB in the 2008 NFL Draft

This is almost a no-brainer. Rex Grossman is the worst starting quarterback in the NFL, next to Joey Harrington. It is without a doubt Chicago's biggest need, and they have two "franchise-caliber" quarterbacks to pick from between John David Booty and Matt Ryan. I have them almost dead even on my big board, but with Chicago's offensive line beginning to check into retirement homes on road trips instead of hotels, the Bears take the more mobile of the two signal callers.
